Shoreline Waste Collector
Job Description
Peak-period cover on the busiest stretch we hold: the Latchi harbour front and the municipal beaches at Polis Chrysochous, where bins fill twice a day through July and August.
What you will do
- Run the fixed bin round along the Latchi promenade and Polis municipal beach twice daily, and again after evening peak.
- Bulk-collect the previous day’s sector bags and move them to the depot transfer point.
- Separate recoverable plastic, glass and metal at the transfer point ready for the licensed collector.
- Report overflowing, damaged or missing bins to the crew leader the same shift.
- Cover the shoreline litter patrol on days when a full cleaning crew is not scheduled.
What we are looking for
- Comfortable with repetitive lifting and long hours on your feet in summer heat.
- Available seven days on a rota, including weekends and public holidays through the peak.
- Basic Greek or English for radio and shift-sheet use.
- Waste handling, warehouse or grounds experience welcome, not required.
