Depot & Plant Technician
Job Description
Two short runs either side of the season: build the fleet up in April so every machine hits the sand on 1 April working, and strip, preserve and store it through October when the beaches close down to winter service.
What you will do
- Recommission tractors, quads and towed sieving units after winter storage — belts, screens, tines, bearings, hydraulics.
- Fabricate and fit replacement screen sections and rake tines in the depot workshop.
- Build and check the season’s PPE, hand-tool and sack-frame stock for every crew before April.
- Run the October strip-down: wash-off, corrosion treatment, oil change and covered storage.
- Keep the machine history card for each unit so the following spring starts from a real record.
What we are looking for
- Agricultural, plant or HGV mechanical experience — hydraulics and welding both useful.
- Able to work an intensive short contract rather than a full season.
- Own hand tools welcome; workshop equipment provided.
- Basic English or Greek for parts ordering and job cards.
Good to know
- Season: April – May, and October
- Department: Machinery & Workshop
- Open to non-EU nationals — we sponsor the Cyprus seasonal work permit
