Packhouse Grader & Dispatch Hand

Grade, weigh and palletise everything that comes off the fields at the Évora packhouse, and get it onto the right truck with the right lot number on it.

What you will do

• Grade produce to buyer specification on the line and reject out-of-spec fruit
• Weigh, label and palletise lots, keeping the parcel and picking-date code with every pallet
• Load chilled and ambient trucks against the dispatch sheet and confirm quantities
• Keep the packhouse and cold store clean to the food-safety standard we are audited on

What we are looking for

• Packhouse, warehouse or food production experience is useful but not essential
• Careful with paperwork — a mislabelled pallet breaks the traceability chain
• Comfortable on your feet through a shift, including work in the cold store
• Available May to December; shift pattern moves to two shifts at the produce peak
