Cereal Harvest Combine Operator

Cut the wheat, barley and oats across the Beja dryland blocks in the six-week window between the grain drying down and the summer heat taking it, running the combine from mid-morning to nightfall.

What you will do

• Operate combine harvesters across uneven dryland ground, keeping header losses inside target
• Read moisture readings with the estate manager and call the start and stop of each day’s cut
• Coordinate unloading on the move with tractor and trailer drivers
• Log hectares, yields and downtime per parcel at the end of every shift

What we are looking for

• Previous combine experience — grain, oilseed or forage
• Confident with in-cab settings: drum speed, concave, sieves and fan
• Category B licence; ability to hitch and tow trailers safely
• Available mid-June to the end of July, with evening work while the crop is fit
