Seasonal Crop Scout

April to late August contract walking the Płock blocks ahead of the agronomists — the eyes that decide whether a fungicide goes on this week or next.

What you will do

• Walk allocated wheat, rapeseed and beet blocks weekly and record growth stage, disease and pest pressure
• Take georeferenced tissue and soil samples and prepare them for the laboratory
• Log establishment counts and trial plot observations in the field app on the same day
• Flag anything unusual — lodging, slug damage, herbicide carryover — to the duty agronomist immediately

What we are looking for

• Agriculture, plant production or environmental studies background, or a season already spent scouting
• Careful, repeatable observation and honest recording — plans are built on this data
• Fit for six to eight kilometres a day on foot in all weather
• Category B licence useful; a depot vehicle and driver is provided otherwise
