职位描述

Do you want a central role in the realization of Vireo's biogas plant?

Vireo is in a vigorous expansion phase and is now moving from project development to operational operations. With the plant in Hardanger under full construction and the start of construction just around the corner at Lista, we are realizing our first major milestones - at the same time that we are actively working towards an investment decision for Rudskogen towards the end of 2026. As an early adopter, Vireo is helping to shape a new industry, where organic waste from agriculture and industry is converted into renewable gas and bio-fertiliser. We are concerned with robust and efficient process plants and have developed a main concept that is reused and adapted across the locations.

We are now looking for a project manager who is motivated by realizing concrete results in a company with great ambitions. You will have a key role in the implementation of our biogas projects - from detailed design and planning to completion and handover. The position combines project management, project management and coordination, and is suitable for you who thrive on technical complexity and driving progress in demanding projects.

The main workplace will be at our office in Stord, with flexibility for a home office and some travel for our projects. The position reports to the project director.

Responsibilities and tasks

As a project manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating biogas projects from the planning phase to completion and handover. You will work closely with the project director, engineering, purchasing, project control and HSEQ, and be an important link between technical disciplines, suppliers and external partners.

You will have a central role in planning, engineering and follow-up of both progress, quality and finances. You will contribute to the detailed design, lead project meetings, follow up contractors and deliveries, and ensure that the facilities are built in line with Vireo's requirements for quality, HSE and technical standards. Your ability to coordinate complex processes will be critical to success.

Relevant tasks will be

  • lead the projects from planning to commissioning
  • responsible for project planning, and if you have expertise in MS Project it is an advantage
  • ensure progress, quality and budget follow-up
  • coordinate and manage suppliers, contractors and consultants
  • contact with suppliers and public bodies
  • report status and progress to the project director and steering committee
  • to contribute to innovation and efficiency in project implementation

Qualifications and personal characteristics

We are looking for you who have several years of project management experience in industry, energy or process plants, and who enjoy taking responsibility in technically complex projects. We believe you should have a good understanding of multidisciplinary engineering and planning, and the ability to handle several processes in parallel. We think that you are a structured and precise driver who takes ownership of projects, ensures progress and quality, and solves challenges effectively.

Flexibility and willingness to travel for our projects is necessary.

Furthermore, we imagine that you

  • have higher education in engineering, energy/environment, electrical/automation or equivalent. Relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.
  • has good knowledge of industrial process and/or other related technologies. If you have previous experience with biogas, it is an advantage, but not a requirement
  • builds good and effective relationships with colleagues, contractors, suppliers and other partners across various disciplines and organizations
  • communicates well in both Norwegian and English, including the ability to convey technical information clearly
  • Why choose Vireo? Help build a sustainable future - as a construction and project manager in Vireo, you will play a central role in the development of tomorrow's energy solutions across our exciting biogas projects.
  • Key role in a growing industry - you will be a driving force in the realization of several modern and forward-looking biogas plants.
  • Local value creation - you will contribute directly to local value creation by ensuring efficient development of facilities that create jobs and optimize resource utilization in the regions.
  • Become part of a strong professional environment - in Vireo you will work closely with committed colleagues where teamwork and sharing expertise are the keys to success in our projects.

Application deadline: 02/08/2026 - applications are assessed on an ongoing basis.
