EPG CONTENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST

About the employer:

Metaprofile Data d.o.o. is a company specializing in EPG metadata solutions, collecting, processing and delivering television schedules and related TV data for clients in different parts of the world.

Due to the expansion of the scope of work, the employer is looking for a responsible, proactive and precise person who expresses himself clearly and professionally in written communication in English and Croatian and has the ability to understand the differences between TV channels, regional versions, feeds, languages, broadcast areas and time zones.

Job description:

The person in this position will be in charge of collecting TV schedules, researching TV channels and intensive written communication via e-mail in English and Croatian with channels, broadcasters, platforms and other providers of EPG content.

It is especially important that the work is not done mechanically, but with understanding, knowledge and logic: it is necessary to be able to recognize the difference between channels, their versions, feeds, languages, territories and time zones.

Main tasks include:

• research of TV channels, their regional versions, feeds, languages, broadcast areas and belonging to TV groups

• daily written communication via e-mail in English and Croatian with channels and suppliers, including follow-ups, reminders and continuous cooperation with permanent schedule suppliers

• checking that the received schedule corresponds to the correct channel, regional version, feed, language, market, time zone and broadcast area

• proactively using additional reference sources, online schedules and available streams to confirm content accuracy when necessary

• communication and resolution of complaints related to incorrect or incomplete EPG content

• independent management of a large number of tasks with clear prioritization according to client requirements, importance of channels, deadlines and amount of work

• maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization, responsibility, proactivity and efficiency while respecting deadlines and data quality.

An advantage, but not a requirement:

• previous experience in working with TV schedules, EPG content, TV channels, broadcasters, platforms or similar media data

• experience in working with a large amount of data, parallel tasks or communication with external partners.
