The director of the Institute for Emergency Medicine PGŽ announces the basic collective agreement for civil servants and employees in public services (Official Gazette 29/2024)

REPEATED PUBLIC COMPETITION

for the establishment of a fixed-term full-time employment relationship due to the increased volume of work during the tourist season (assurance of higher standards) for positions:

  • BACHELOR OF NURSING SPECIALIST/BACHELOR OF NURSING/ NURSE/MEDICAL TECHNICIAN - 5 executors, in the Medical Registration Reporting Unit - place of work in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, at the Institute's headquarters in Rijeka

Conditions:

  • SSS - completed secondary medical school/VŠS - completed professional nursing studies (professional bachelor's degree in nursing/senior nurse/medical technician)
  • approval for independent work issued by the Croatian Chamber of Nurses (valid license)
  • knowledge of working on a PC
  • category B driver's license

Along with the written application for the competition, candidates are required to attach:

  • CV
  • proof of citizenship - a copy of an identity card or residence card
  • proof of professional training - a copy of the diploma
  • a copy of the self-employment permit issued by the competent chamber - valid license
  • proof of work experience - electronic record or confirmation of data recorded in the HZMO database, which shows the period of work experience at the appropriate level of education
  • proof of having passed the B category driving test
  • proof of knowledge of computer work (copy of certificate, certificate, certificate, transcript of grades, etc.

People of both sexes can apply for the competition. Terms used in this public tender, which have a gender meaning, are used neutrally and refer equally to men and women.

The documents are attached in uncertified copies, and before concluding the employment contract, the selected candidate will present the original documents at the request of the Institute.

A person who does not submit a timely and/or orderly application, or who is found to not meet the formal conditions of the tender, will not be considered a candidate registered for the public tender. An application that contains all the information and attachments listed in this competition is considered a proper application.

Candidates who exercise the right to priority in employment must refer to that right in their application and attach all evidence of meeting the required conditions and recognized status, in which case they have priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.

A candidate who invokes the right of preference in employment pursuant to Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette 121/17, 98/19, 84/21), is obliged to refer to that right in the application and to submit all the necessary evidence available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans:

A candidate who invokes the right of preference in employment in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, 32/20), is obliged to refer to this right in the application and submit with the application evidence of the recognized status of a person with a disability in accordance with the Ordinance on the Content and Method of Keeping the Register of Employees with Disabilities, and evidence showing how the employment relationship ended with of the last employer (decision, contract, agreement, etc.).

A candidate who invokes the right to priority in employment in accordance with the provision of Article 48.f of the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Disabled Persons (Official Gazette 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 02/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13, 98/19), he is obliged to attach a decision or a certificate of recognized status from which this right can be seen, as well as evidence from which it is visible how the employment relationship with the last employer ended (decision, contract, agreement, etc.) with the tender application.

The selected candidate will be asked to submit a certificate of medical fitness to perform the duties of the position and a certificate from the competent court that no criminal proceedings are pending against him, and in the event of failure to submit the required documents within the deadline, he will be considered to have abandoned the application.

By applying to the competition, candidates give their consent to the collection, processing and publication of data for the purpose of selecting candidates for employment, as well as their consent to the processing of tender documents in accordance with the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data and other relevant regulations on the protection of personal data.

The Department of Emergency Medicine PGŽ reserves the right for candidates who meet the formal requirements of this competition to conduct testing (checking knowledge and abilities, aptitude for teamwork, communication skills, responsibility, etc.), as well as conducting an oral interview, about which candidates will be notified by phone.

If the candidate does not attend the test or the oral interview, it is considered that he has withdrawn his application to the competition and it will not be considered.

Work experience in appropriate jobs is considered to be work experience achieved in the jobs of the appropriate vocational qualification and profession achieved after obtaining the vocational qualification.

Candidates selected for the position under point 2 of the tender are obliged to complete prescribed educational programs for MPDJ dispatchers before starting work in the Medical Reporting Unit if they do not have a valid certificate.

Written applications for the competition with mandatory attachments must be submitted to the address: Department of Emergency Medicine of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Rijeka, Franje Čandeka 6/A, with the indication "Competition for establishing an employment relationship" or via the Department's official e-mail address: tajnistvo@zzhm-pgz.hr. The public tender was published on the website of the Department of Emergency Medicine PGŽ and the website of the Croatian Employment Service on June 5, 2026. The deadline for submission of applications is 8 days from the date of publication of the tender.

Until the selection decision is made, the tender or parts of the tender may be cancelled.

Notification of the results of the competition will be published on the website of the Department of Emergency Medicine PGŽ, and candidates will not be individually notified in writing about the selection.
