We are looking for you who want an educational position in the field of midwifery
Sykehuset Østfold (SØ) offers training positions for those who are going to take further training as a midwife. A total of 15 education positions are advertised within the field of obstetrics and gynecology. The positions are also advertised internally. If you can document a study place, or are on waiting list no. 1 - 4, you are eligible to apply for an educational position.
Interview: Current applicants will be called continuously for an interview.
General information about educational position:
You are offered 100% collective wage as a nurse in the educational position, as well as permanent employment. Obligation to work during the course constitutes 10% of the position. The manager where the employee performs the work obligation takes care of the employer's responsibility until the education is completed, draws up an agreement on serving the work obligation and prepares a work plan.
The work obligation involves 5 weekends (2 shifts per weekend) in the semester during the education, of which at least one of these is linked to work during the school's summer holidays.
During the school holidays, the student must either cancel the holiday or work in a 100% position. The work obligation in the summer is a minimum of 4 weeks in a 100% position. 100% salary is paid during the entire education, also during the school's summer holidays. Inconvenience allowance for work at the weekend/evening/night is added.
Holidays are preferably run for 4 weeks in the summer. The remaining holiday, 5th holiday week, must be taken during the school's other holidays and clarified in more detail with the head. Holidays cannot be canceled on compulsory weekends. Otherwise, the provisions of the Holiday Act apply.
Compulsory time involves working at Sykehuset Østfold after completing education. The binding period must generally be twice the study period. The maximum commitment period is 4 years. The binding period must be extended proportionately when working in a reduced position.
Otherwise, reference is made to the current procedure and agreement for educational positions.

We have approx. 26,500 outpatient consultations annually, consisting of maternity outpatient clinic, maternity outpatient clinic, emergency maternity/gynecology reception, urodynamic outpatient clinic and gynecological outpatient clinic.

Østfold Hospital, Kalnes, is approx. 50 minutes drive from Oslo and approx. 30 minutes from Strømstad. There are good opportunities for public transport in the immediate vicinity.

Calculation of salary seniority/salary determination
Documentation of education, work experience and statutory leave, such as child care and military service, must be attached to the application and appear in the CV. Attached documentation must be in pdf format in Scandinavian or English. All work experience from the age of 18 is registered in the CV as this is used as a starting point for salary determination and/or salary seniority.
