Are you a trained chef with a passion for classic French cuisine? Are you passionate about good craftsmanship, quality ingredients and tasty dishes? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for at our bistro in the heart of Sønderborg.

About us:

At our restaurant in Sønderborg, you feel like you are in a French bistro in Paris or a small restaurant in Lyon, where guests enjoy a welcome rest for a while and lose themselves in stews, red wine and good stories.

The bistro offers a cozy and relaxed atmosphere - both outside and inside. Outside, you will find classic café chairs and round tables with a view of Sønderborg's lively harbour, while the beautiful green-painted facade creates a special atmosphere. Inside, the coziness continues with dimmed lighting, high panels and the smell of simmering dishes and freshly brewed coffee.

Our cuisine is based on the best of French cuisine – from lunchtime classics such as Steak Frites, Croque Monsieur and Chèvre Chaud to evening dishes such as Moules Frites, oysters and Boeuf Bourguignon. For dessert, we tempt you with Crème Brûlée, a cheese board and carefully selected wines.

About the position:

We are looking for a committed and professionally trained chef who will help create authentic bistro experiences for our guests. With us, you work with classic French dishes, seasonal ingredients and modern interpretations of traditional cuisine.

Working hours:

  • 4–5 working days per week
  • Shifts primarily between 12:00 and 22:00

Your tasks:

  • Preparation of classic French-inspired dishes in high quality
  • Ensure uniformity, taste and presentation
  • Work with seasonal ingredients and contribute to menu development
  • Comply with applicable hygiene and food safety standards
  • Work closely with the kitchen and serving team

We expect you to:

  • Is a trained chef
  • Has experience from a restaurant or bistro kitchen (French cuisine is an advantage)
  • Has an eye for detail and gastronomic quality
  • Can work in a structured and efficient manner - even in busy periods
  • Is a team player with a positive attitude
  • Speaks Danish, English or German
