Design & Utilization - Senior Data Analyst H/F/X

Your mission

The bpost Out of Home (OOH) team is responsible for all staffed and unmanned touchpoints within bpost, with the exception of post offices. This includes parcel points, postal points and parcel lockers. bpost currently has around 2,500 parcel lockers, and this network constitutes a key strategic pillar.

To support this growth, we are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in driving data initiatives, creating dashboards, providing actionable insights and supporting strategic decision-making.

Reporting

• Support all end-to-end dashboard development: data collection and transformation, modeling and visualization (Power BI), including the creation and maintenance of Python scripts for data processing, simulation and optimization
• Design and maintain robust data models to guarantee scalable reporting adapted to business needs
• Develop a deep understanding of systems architecture and data dependencies between operational and IT environments
• Liaise between the business and IT teams, translate business needs into technical/data requirements, and collaborate effectively with the central Data team

Data analysis & profitability insights

• Carry out in-depth analyzes on the use of lockers, particularly their contribution to profitability. Deliver clear, data-driven insights to improve capacity utilization and long-term operational performance
• Prepare reports summarizing financial and operational performance, with presentation of key KPIs to management
• Monitor and analyze real-time data for lockers and staffed points, with recommendations for improvement and adjustments

Data modeling & governance

• Contribute to the definition and implementation of a structured and scalable data model for OOH activities
• Identify data inconsistencies and actively participate in improving data quality
• Define, implement and follow data quality (DQ) rules in collaboration with IT and the central Data team
• Clarify KPI definitions and ensure alignment between business logic and reporting
• Support the gradual transition from manual Excel processes to more automated and reliable data solutions

Capacity forecasting and optimization

• Collaborate with the team to make forecasts based on historical data, seasonal trends and expected peaks in activity
• Develop strategies to optimize the use of lockers and staffed points, balancing customer satisfaction and costs
• University degree
• Mandatory: excellent command of Excel, Power BI and Python
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence or similar analytical role
• Excellent command of English, Dutch and/or French is a plus
• Strong affinity with capacity planning and demand forecasting techniques
• Preferred: experience or strong affinity with Capacity Management / Yield Management
• Strong analytical mind and ability to transform data into actionable insights
• Proactive attitude and excellent problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of data modeling principles
• Experience in data quality management and data governance
• Ability to work in less mature data environments and to structure data processes
