Kitchen Porter — Summer Season

Evening pot wash and back-of-house support in a coastal seafood room that turns 200 covers on a fine weekend. Twenty-five to thirty-two hours across four or five evenings for the length of the season.

What you will do

• Operate the pass-through dishwasher through service: scrape, rack, run, and put away hot and dry.
• Keep pot wash, floors and bin areas clear so the line never trips over a bottleneck on a full night.
• Manage waste segregation across food, dry recycling and glass in line with the venue licence conditions.
• Complete the nightly deep-clean checklist and sign it off before close.

What we are looking for

• No prior kitchen experience needed — the Hearth & Hire block covers chemical safety and machine handling.
• Steady pace under noise and heat, and comfortable with wet, physical work for a full evening.
• A route home after a midnight finish on Friday and Saturday through the season.
• Non-EEA applicants: permit supported by the venue; student-visa hours are also accommodated and tracked on the rota.
