Will you take charge of our hotel kitchen in Switzerland?
Are you an experienced chef with a passion for quality meals and managing a kitchen team? Are you looking for a unique challenge in a beautiful mountain environment where you can fully utilize your culinary and organizational talents?
We are looking for a Chef for one of our Intersoc Original Hotels in Switzerland who is available until the end of September 2026. As ultimately responsible for the kitchen, you ensure that both our holiday guests and employees can enjoy varied, tasty and high-quality meals every day.

What does the job entail?
As a Chef you are responsible for the daily management of the hotel kitchen. You organize the kitchen operations, manage the team and ensure that guests can enjoy quality meals every day.
Your tasks:
- You prepare the buffet menus together with the F&B Manager and ensure a varied offering with attention to different dietary requirements.
- You determine recipes, preparation methods and presentation, taking into account seasonal products and cost prices.
- You manage the kitchen team, draw up work schedules and coach sous chefs, assistant chefs, breakfast managers and volunteers.
- You monitor the quality, taste, presentation and portioning of all dishes and guarantee consistent service.
- You ensure compliance with HACCP, safety and hygiene standards.
- You place orders with suppliers and manage the food budget.
- You manage stock together with the warehouse manager, track deliveries and limit food waste through efficient planning.
- You prepare inventories and check the quality and quantity of delivered goods.
- You take care of the necessary administration and reporting regarding orders, stock and kitchen operations.
- You work closely with hotel management and other departments to provide our guests with an excellent culinary experience.

Every year we allow more than 30,000 holiday guests, consisting of families, groups and schools, to enjoy a top holiday in our hotels. The holidays offered take place in our Intersoc Original hotels in Switzerland, France and Austria, which we operate entirely under our own management.
Central services are managed at the head office in Brussels, such as marketing, sales, customer service, personnel planning and financial administration. But the main activity takes place in our hotels in Austria, France and Switzerland!
Who are we looking for?
- You are available for full-time employment, spread over six working days per week, until the end of September 2026.
- You have a chef's diploma or have at least five years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- You have experience in a managerial position within a kitchen.
- You are a team player with a coaching and motivating leadership style.
- You have strong organizational skills and communicate easily with colleagues and other departments.
- You have experience with inventory management, ordering systems and monitoring a food budget.
- You have basic knowledge of administration and reporting.
- You have a thorough knowledge of kitchen processes, culinary techniques, food safety and HACCP guidelines.
- You work accurately, independently and in a structured manner, remain calm under pressure and enjoy taking responsibility.
- You speak Dutch fluently.
- You have an eye for quality, hygiene and efficient kitchen operation.
