Seasonal Produce Field Hand

Work the irrigated blocks through the long produce season — planting out in April, picking tomatoes, melons, peppers and brassicas through summer, and clearing the last rows in November.

What you will do

• Plant out, weed, tie and pick across the irrigated produce blocks as each crop comes ready
• Field-pack to the crate spec the buyer has set, grading out damaged and undersized fruit
• Move picked crates to the shaded staging point quickly so field heat comes out fast
• Flag emitter blockages, pest damage and disease to the block supervisor the same day

What we are looking for

• Comfortable with repetitive outdoor work in Alentejo summer heat, often above 38 °C
• No formal qualifications needed; picking or market-garden experience welcome
• Enough Portuguese, English or Spanish for daily instructions and safety briefings
• Available for a substantial part of the April to November run; shared crew housing offered
