Esperi Koti Pähkina as a summer job

Koti Pähkinä offers round-the-clock service housing for people with developmental disabilities. We are located in a quiet area of ​​small houses in Järvenpää, with a spacious yard where we enjoy summer days together. We live a functional everyday life together: we clean, bake, go hiking, get excited about sports competitions and celebrate anniversaries. Living with us is like home; the days are rhythmic according to everyday chores, events outside the home and trips. Our common goal is the happiest residents of Finland!

What could your typical summer day in Pähkina look like?

At Pähkinä, we use the self-supervisor model, whereby you are responsible for designated residents during your shift. The work is versatile - the goal is to strengthen the resident's ability to function, independence and support him to lead a life of his own. Your duties include guidance and basic nursing work according to the residents' individual needs. You help the resident with everyday things, such as taking care of the home, maintaining personal hygiene, laundry care, meals and errands outside the house. In addition, you participate in everyday arrangements and activities together with the rest of the team. You will also provide high-quality medical treatment if you have obtained medical licenses.

Summer employment information

The summer employment is temporary for the period July 1-September 30, 2026. The working time is at least 50%, but the exact working time is agreed according to the needs of the applicant and the unit. The job is a 2-shift job.

Salary

When hiring, we follow the private collective agreement in the social services sector. The basic salary of a caregiver is €2,415.76-2,612.33/month depending on the experience bonus (salary category G20C).

What do we expect from you?

- you are a ready nurse, we also consider final stage students

- you have a valid hygiene passport and vaccination coverage according to the Infectious Diseases Act

- you have fluent Finnish language skills

- you have empathy, the skill of meeting and a desire to learn new things

We consider it an advantage to have valid medical licenses and previous experience in similar tasks. We also ask to see a criminal record extract in accordance with the Criminal Records Act.
