Olive Harvest Machinery Operator

Drive the trunk shakers and straddle harvesters through the Évora groves for the ten weeks of the olive campaign, and keep fruit damage and ground losses down while you do it.

What you will do

• Operate straddle harvesters and trunk shakers across intensive and traditional plantings
• Adjust shake time and frame settings per block so fruit comes off without barking the trunk
• Carry out daily greasing, filter checks and in-field adjustment before first light
• Report breakdowns early and work with the estate workshop on straightforward repairs

What we are looking for

• Proven experience with agricultural machinery; olive harvesters or vineyard straddles an advantage
• Category B licence; tractor or heavy vehicle categories welcome
• Mechanical common sense and genuine care for the machine
• Available October to December, including long days and some weekends at peak
