Vehicle & Trailer Movement Support

As a Logistics Yard Assistant, you will work in the open-air yard area where trailers, vans, and long-haul trucks circulate. The job involves movement coordination, visual checks, and constant communication with drivers and dispatchers.

Responsibilities

• Guide trucks into loading docks using hand signals or LED paddles
• Perform basic visual checks on trailers (lights, locks, tires)
• Position wheel chocks and safety barriers
• Communicate trailer availability to dispatch
• Help clear snow/debris during weather shifts
• Maintain yard lanes and assist with traffic flow

Requirements

• No education required
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods
• Clear communication under pressure
