Orchard Field Technician

Working directly among Zest & Bloom's organic citrus groves, the Orchard Field Technician supports tree health through hands-on care. This role follows the natural agricultural cycle—from spring blossoms to winter harvest.

Responsibilities

• Perform pruning, thinning, and canopy shaping to improve fruit quality
• Monitor soil moisture levels and adjust manual or automated irrigation valves
• Identify early signs of pests or nutrient deficiencies (leaf spots, curling, discoloration)
• Spread organic mulch and compost blends to support soil biodiversity
• Assist with installation and repair of drip irrigation lines
• Clean and prepare grove pathways for seasonal machinery

Requirements

• No education required
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and uneven terrain
• Awareness of environmental care and organic practices (training provided)
• Comfortable using hand tools (shears, loppers, moisture meters)
