On the basis of Article 5 of the Collective Agreement for the Public Institution "National Park Mljet", the Decision on the Call for Tenders of the Administrative Council of the Public Institution "National Park Mljet" dated March 6, 2026, the Director's Decision on the Call for Tenders dated June 2, 2026, with the prior consent for employment by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green Transition from November 17, 2025, the Public Institution "National Park Mljet" is announcing

PUBLIC COMPETITION

for hiring employees (m/f) for the following positions:

1. 14. HEAD OF ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT 3 - 1 executor, for an indefinite period

Conditions:

- HKO level 7.1.sv. or 7.1.para. from the scientific field of natural, biotechnical, biomedical, technical or social sciences,

- at least two years of professional experience,

- active knowledge of one world language,

- knowledge of computer work.

2. 22. ADVISOR – (biologist) 1 executor, for an indefinite period

Conditions:

- HKO level 7.1.sv. or 7.1.para. from the scientific field of natural, biotechnical, biomedical and technical sciences,

- at least three years of work experience in the profession,

- active knowledge of one world language,

- knowledge of computer work.

3. 27. ASSOCIATE (forester) - trainee, 1 executor, for a certain period of time

Conditions:

- HKO level 7.1.sv. or 7.1.para. from the scientific field of biotechnical science (field: forestry),

- active knowledge of one world language,

- knowledge of computer work.

4. 28. ASSOCIATE (geologist) – 1 executor, for a certain period of time

Conditions:

- HKO level 7.1.sv. or 7.1.para. and from the scientific field of natural, biotechnical sciences, (field: geology)

- at least one year of work experience in the profession,

- active knowledge of one world language,

- knowledge of computer work.

5. 29. ASSOCIATE (archaeology, art history, history) – intern, 1 executor,

Conditions:

- HKO level 7.1.sv. or 7.1.para. from the scientific field of humanities, (field: archaeology, history of art, history),

- active knowledge of one world language,

computer knowledge.

6. 31. CHIEF GUARDIAN - 1 executor, for an indefinite period

Conditions:

- HKO level 7.1.sv. or 7.1.para. from the scientific field of natural, biotechnical, biomedical, technical or social sciences,

- at least four years of professional experience,

- passed professional exam,

- possession of a driver's license,

- active knowledge of one world language,

- knowledge of computer work.

7. 34. CONSERVATOR OF NATURE 3 - 1 executor, for an indefinite period

Conditions:

- HKO level 4.2. or 4.1. social, technical, tourist - catering or other general direction,

- at least one year of work experience in the profession,

- active knowledge of one world language,

- knowledge of computer work.

8. 47. MANAGING WORKER (fire inspector) – 1 executor, for a fixed period of 9 months

Conditions:

- HKO level 4.2. or 4.1. social, technical, tourist - catering or other general direction,

- at least one year of work experience in the profession,

9. 40. SAILOR - 1 executor for an indefinite period

Conditions:

- HKO level 4.2. or 4.1. social, technical, tourist - catering or other general direction,

- at least one year of work experience in the profession,

- license for a B category boat manager,

- possession of the necessary legal permits/certificates,

- active knowledge of one world language.

10. 54. ASSOCIATE - trainee, 1 executor, for an indefinite period

Conditions:

- HKO level 7.1.sv. or 7.1.para. from the scientific field of social sciences (field: economics),

- at least one year of work experience in the profession,

- active knowledge of two world languages,

- knowledge of computer work.

11. 56. GUIDE - 4 executors, for a fixed period of 9 months

Conditions:

- HKO level 4.2. or 4.1. social, technical, tourist - catering or other general direction,

- at least one year of work experience in the profession,

- active knowledge of two world languages.

12. 57. WORKER - MANAGER (commercial worker) - 2 executives, for a fixed period of 9 months

Conditions:

- HKO level 4.2. or 4.1. tourism-hospitality or economic direction,

- active knowledge of two world languages,

- at least one year of work experience in the profession,

- knowledge of computer work.

13. 58. INFORMER - SELLER - 2 executors, for a fixed period of 9 months

Conditions:

- HKO level 4.2. or 4.1. tourism-hospitality or economic direction,

- active knowledge of two world languages,

- computer knowledge,

- at least one year of professional experience.

With the application for the job advertisement, candidates should attach:

- a short CV (must include a phone number/mobile phone/email),

- proof of acquired professional training, a copy of the certificate/diploma of completed professional training,

- a copy of the HZMO certificate of seniority (MANDATORY FOR ALL CANDIDATES),

- proof of citizenship,

- a copy of the "B" category driver's license (only for positions for which the corresponding driver's license category is a requirement from the advertisement)

- proof of active knowledge of one or more world languages,

- other evidence proving that they meet the requirements for the applied position,

- the original or a certified copy of the certificate of no criminal record - no older than 6 months (MANDATORY FOR ALL CANDIDATES)

Candidates for seasonal jobs who have been employed by the Institution do not have to submit the mandatory documentation prescribed by the advertisement (except for the certificate of non-punishment and the HZMO's certificate of length of service) but can fill out the "APPLICATION FORM - for a fixed-term job advertisement" which will be published on the Institution's official website (www.np-mljet.hr);

The documents are attached in uncertified copies, and the selected candidate is obliged to present the originals before signing the employment contract. The attached tender documents are not returned.

By applying for the competition, the candidate gives consent to the Public Institution "National Park Mljet" for the collection and processing of personal data specified in the application for the competition and the documentation submitted with the application for the purpose of selecting candidates, as well as consent to the publication/delivery of information about the results of the competition, which is delivered to all candidates and/or published on the Institution's website. Consent for the collection and processing of personal data is a condition for applying to the competition.

Candidates who exercise the right to priority in employment according to special regulations are obliged to refer to that right in the application for the competition and to attach the documentation prescribed by law, and they have priority over other candidates under equal conditions.

The public institution "Mljet National Park" reserves the right to check knowledge (testing) and abilities and hold interviews, and candidates will be informed in detail about possible testing and interviews via the official website: www.np-mljet.hr. A candidate who does not attend the test and interview is considered to have withdrawn his application for the public tender and will no longer be considered a candidate.

The deadline for submitting applications for positions numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10 is 12 days, and for positions numbered 8, 11, 12, and 13, 8 days.

A complete application is considered one that contains all the information and attachments listed in the ad.

Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered. Persons who submit incomplete and/or untimely applications for the advertisement are not considered candidates registered for the advertisement.

Candidates will be informed about the progress and results of this competition via the website of the Public Institution "National Park Mljet" (www.np-mljet.hr).
